Blogger’s note: today and for the rest of this week, I will reprise some of my previous (dare I say classic?) blogposts. With exactly 2834 of them now, if I may say so, I believe I can repeat myself repeat myself once, or twice.

Plucked from August 26, 2014, yes a while ago but still relevant, I posted “Busy-ness in Your Business on LinkedIn,” in which I gave you entrepreneurs ideas to keep your image fresh with  posts of what you are working on, accomplished recently, and the like. Refresh your readers with your vitality and energy to always “carpe the diem:”

Small business owners and entrepreneurs need to show themselves as thriving and busy. Very busy.

While we churn and churn to bring more to each and every business day, oddly, many solo- and multi-preneurs fail to use LinkedIn to circulate their news.

We are busy! We spped along. So we should show each success as we race down the highway of any value proposition we bring to the profession. Your connections want to know.

So think about the benefits of announcing on your LinkedIn page:

1. new clients you have signed (I always ask their permission first)

2. meetings or conferences you are attending (or better, speaking at)

3. places you have been quoted in,

4. materials you have authored (and add that to the Publications section as well for permanence), or

5. at the least, articles that you have read that you deem worthy of sharing.

Then determine the best audience to share with, and this is sometimes not always easy:

1. all your connections

2. certain one or more of your connections by name, or

3. LinkedIn groups you belong to.

Just tell your news and remind us you are out there doing well, or else you fade from memory.

As I like to say, blip on the radar screen.
