Blogger’s note: today and for the rest of this week, I will reprise some of my previous (dare I say classic?) blogposts. With over 2820 of them now, if I may say so, I believe I can repeat myself repeat myself once, or twice.
Plucked from June 13, 2014, yes a long time ago, I posted “Think and Act Globally,” my observation in an ever shrinking world with global streaming and immediate access to vital information, that we need to be in the moment, and universal in our positioning. And if you know me and read me here, you are part of my audience that is truly intergalactic. I celebrate this in my comments for you, as I am doing now.
Your world is in your hands when you tell why you on LinkedIn.
People from all over the world want to know what you do that differentiates you from others.
Perhaps they need your product or service in their home country-do you want to miss out on the opportunity to serve them? In today’s internet integrated world, it’s easier than ever.
The fact is the bulk of the members of LinkedIn reside outside the USA. That’s worth paying sharp attention to.
In one of my webinars at 2 pm one weekday, we had attendees from all over Asia, Africa and the Middle East. My joke was, “What time is it where you are? Oh it’s 3 am? I am so pleased you want to listen to me at 3 am. My wife doesn’t want to listen to me at 3 am!!!” Global chuckle…
So think outside your local box. Search for new potential clients on LinkedIn, especially outside your ordinary geographic scope.
