Do you carefully review your profile and correct:

  1. typos beyond spell check, additionally using “Read Aloud“?
  2. mixed visual formats and intermingled style bullet points?
  3. weak verbs to make them more powerful and picturesque than “was,” “have,” “make,” “do”?
  4. verb tenses, relative to the time in your career you are describing?
  5. spacing errors and blocks of written material?
  6. broken links?
  7. repeated phrases, easily restated in other words, to further reinforce your point?
  8. old recommendations that need updates from the writer; also get some recent (2024) recommendations?
  9. skillsets that go past “management” or “finance” (which are textbooks instead of professional skills)?
  10. skill endorsements from those who have never seen you IRL exemplify those skills?

People consider hiring you by first impressions of how attentive to detail you are.
