If you dare to talk about yourself, you know how difficult it is to do it well. That’s just the hard part of talking about yourself in person. Telling about yourself on a virtual screen is even harder.
Does that mean not doing it and being absent from social media?
No way.
If you are not on LinkedIn in particular you are deemed MIA from the business world. If you are on LinkedIn but you are anemic compared to your competitors, you are still missing—opportunities–that is.
And how you have to fascinate a casual reader enough to act, to look how to contact you, and feel you are worthy of consideration.
So plan, draft, edit, tweak, add graphics and video, make your points come across soundly and energetically. Just like you are IRL.
Or you always could risk dangling on a wire and hope with every step you do not come crashing down for a hard landing. The hurt will take a long time to get you back on your feet again.
Get your footing well established. Do this now.
