Blogger’s note: when you don’t have a best question of the week, you seek other inspiration.
In a store the other day I saw a family, the father wearing a T-shirt that said the words in the graphic above,
“You are enough.”
Lucky kids and spouse if he practices what he wears. Lucky friends and colleagues too. If…
May I expound on this from my lens?
Yes, you are enough. You have worked so hard, borne so many burdens, learned from success and mistakes, persevered, survived bad bosses, endured poor service, and you can still radiate your boundless exuberance for why you do what you do.
You are almost there….
But have you shortchanged yourself? I see it all the time in my coaching:
- do you tell us enough about yourself, since you genuinely believe others are, well, enough?
- and since you treat them that way,
- do you treat yourself accordingly?
Now fill in your own blanks on your LinkedIn profile:
- why are you enough for others, in your own words, and
- how are you enough in others’ to refer and endorse and recommend and
- how do you combine of your and their words, plus
- memorable anecdotes and videos and graphics to reinfoce the points,
- so the overall effect is far more than the sum of the parts,
- thus (drumroll) you are THE answer to the problem at hand, based on your experience,
- as said by all, and
- enough to make your “amazing-er-ness” clear as a pealing bell.
That’s how you ace this platform, make it yours, and raise it to “enough” to make others interact with you. Win-win. Enough said.
