Again and again, different people from the same company spam-email me asking why I didn’t reply to their colleagues’ offers.
They offer me services, products, data, and success opportunities I do not need, want, qualify for, or could ever use. But they presume I can and slather me with accolades from other businesspeople.
They personally address me in their email as March, they even use some other name (last week I was Robert).
I junk mail them, yet I can’t get them to stop. I junk mail their domain name.
Relentlessly stupid email marketing IMHO.
If I don’t answer, they salvo me via LinkedIn, as if I care which method of communication they hassle me. I self-police for myself and others on LinkedIn as I have suggested here before, and I routinely send LinkedIn a spam report from me, yet does nothing, because this is not a breach of community standards. I then block them, m if I can, but in some cases if you report someone for spamming you cannot block them. In other cases you can. Go figure.
And the abusers keep coming…
I’ll bet AI and real humans at LinkedIn responsible for making this noble platform a pleasant and effective marketplace do not get the same unsolicited messages, InMail’s, videos, audios, follow-ups, and other nuisance wastes of time.
Just us folks, the LinkedIn dedicated users who are here to add value, not electronic spam.
I am/we are here to do business. But not without the trust factor of knowing who you are entrusting your future. For the same reason I do not connect to people I do not know, I do not spend my time or money with them.
Period.
So now hear this: stop. No more. Con someone else. Not me, my connections or my followers.
Just plain STOP IT.
Who’s with me? What have you done to end this nonsense?
