I have a sticker on my bulletin board:
If at first you don’t succeed,
REDEFINE SUCCESS.
It suggests we revise what we learned from that experience to use again.
We entrepreneurs test and learn. We mistake estimations and make faulty assumptions.
We recalibrate, edit, tweak, reword, revamp, redevelop, refashion.
In all the above, we learn from our mistakes.
We commit never to make the same mistake, although we probably will at some point, but perhaps in a different context.
We reflect. We recalculate. We recommit.
Look at your LinkedIn profile. Is it really reflective of your career narrative? Or does it need to be recalibrated, edited, tweaked, reworded, revamped, redeveloped, refashioned.
You tell us your “why” in your About, and Experience sections. Let others tells how well you do your “why,” in Skills Endorsements and Recommendations.
I am not advocating you tell us your mistakes, just focus on what you learned and accumulated along the way.
No better place than LinkedIn, but you knew I’d say that, right?
Please share this nugget with others:
