Posting on LinkedIn is an ideal way to offer innovative ideas you have, add your fresh commentary to others’ and offer a perspective that reexamines old “isms” in a new era.
Seth Godin reminded us a couple of weeks ago in his blog (pictured above) that there is no guarantee of success in being innovative.
You have no idea if your idea will become someone else’s idea to add to yours.
You may experience silence when no one adds their voice to yours.
You may only catch the imagination of a limited few fellow-brains.
And you may bring new spotlighting to a concept that others need to be reminded.
Is success an ideal? Is success required?
Not at all.
Thinking outside the proverbial box and adding innovation is a lonely yet noble part of what we do on LinkedIn. Being consistent and reliable make you real, especially when you are innovative and tell us any or all of these on LinkedIn:
- what you found out that we need to know,
- why we should believe it,
- how we should feel as a result,
- and how to act on it to succeed as a result of what you shared with us.
It’s your call-to-action that makes all the difference in a world that admires fast cheap results and hacks who sell shortcuts, to those of us who repudiate the easy way out.
Appeal to a limited few and be original even if that means being alone (or in a small number).
Just dare to tell us how to appreciate you.
