Slight variation on the theme of last Thursday’s Thought. So oblige me, please, it’s that powerfully gratifying to me. Here goes:
I am so lucky to know some truly amazing-er people.
Amazing-er:
- every time I speak with them and we learn more about each other,
- every time I ask their opinion about something I am wrestling with,
- every time they ask me about something they are wrestling with,
- every time I can e-intro them to other great people,
- every time I can refer them without permission or warning to them, knowing they are in good hands, and they can do so with me for the same reason,
- and/or every time I think of them and how I can enhance what we already share.
I spend quality time in preset meetings with them; some weekly, some biweekly, some monthly, and often with intermittent sessions, impromptu, when we need each other’s attention right away.
You see them opining and commenting glowingly on my posts and me on theirs. Not to feed my ego, but to agree with my world view on LinkedIn.
You see me giving them an electronic pat on the back for a job well done or an award or honorific well deserved on LinkedIn.
You should imagine me smiling when I comment to them on LinkedIn, because it is a pleasure to be able to do so.
I am fulfilled with their expertise, observations, and sunshine though it is entirely possible I may never meet the IRL. It’s my silver cloud from the pandemic era.
You know who you are. Thank you.
