I do not care how busy you are, don’t delay responding to an inquiry on LinkedIn. Ever.
It could be the biggest opportunity of the year.
And if you are perceived as not being interested, your competitor who responded more quickly just ate your breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Don’t seem slow to react in an industry where the time-is-money concept is paramount (in what industry is it not?).
Don’t show up with typos and poor grammar and syntax errors or unparallel formats, in your profile or your messages. Ever.
Evaluate yourself from the lens of the destination of your brand and messaging: would you buy from you based on what is shown?
I can’t stress this enough. But I am still not getting through to enough people, and probably never will, but if I got through to you, then my mission is accomplished for the day.
Be in the moment.
No I’ll go one step further, be the moment! Because that’s all the time it takes for a decision to include you or leave you behind.
And this just in…per one of the algo nerds, responding to others’ comments on your post in the first 60 minutes raises you up in the algo (as I know some of you find the algo a challenge to compete with!).
