Does the TV emergency test sequence awaken you? Does a phone ringing in the background break your concentration? Does someone’s spouse moving around in the back of the zoom screen make you stop listening and look away from the person in the front of the screen?
Does a stain on the shirt or a pick in a sweater become the only thing you focus on?
So does a typo in your LinkedIn profile, or bad grammar, poor syntax, mismatched formats, 2 spaces after the period at the end of the sentence, or a broken link.
Just don’t distract the reader; they are already distracted enough on a good profile.
Yes, you are being considered for the insight quality you offer. But you are also being judged for the quality of the delivery, your attention to detail.
Not absolute perfection, just as close as you can get to it.
