I host a weekly zoom-based “Ask me Anything” (AMA) for a networking group and always like to show the attendees something new that they can use immediately.
Sort of what I do here.
You may recall this past Monday’s blog post about resharing others’ material.
In presenting to my AMA group the other day, the question came up “what’s the difference between resharing a post and commenting on it?”
Uh oh I was not clear so I retrenched and made a clearer differentiation:
Reshares are your work to take anyone’s material and comments on them and push them to your connection group with your comments on top of it all. You are in essence lifting it out of your LinkedIn feed and nestling it for all your connections to see with your ideas as the cherry on top.
Commenting on a post is done within the context of the post itself, no lifting and inserting into a fresh environment.
Great question, Rich Buyer. Glad you asked me to be clearer.
