I wonder if this IS the sign, a lot.

I really took notice last week when my Recommendations section and all my skills and  their endorsements disappeared from a then-denuded Skills section for the better part of the day.

Then I sent in Help Ticket and not as a result, but perhaps because so many people lost their copy as I did, that LinkedIn signaled a change coming.

So many people confuse skills endorsements and recommendations, so perhaps they are being merged. That might end some confusion, but which section supersedes?

I wonder, a lot, about how awful it must be for a new LinkedIn user to swim through the muddy waters and craft a brilliant profile. Happily, many wade to the other side with little harm and little benefit, just survive. Some seem to give up and later on, forgetting they did so before, create a new profile. Now that have two or more. Some ace it, but a very small minority.

Let’s wait this one out and see how it turns into an improved experience. I can only wonder.
