There’s talk about a new User Interface for LinkedIn, and a peek at it appeared to a very select few (not me) on a test account.

Funny thing about LinkedIn, they used to preadvise us of changes that were coming on the LinkedIn blog, instead now poof! **surprise** your screen looks quite different. I’ve seen this a few times in my 14+ years as your LinkedIn laureate.

If you read me here, you know I criticize LinkedIn for their confusingly counter-intuitive set up and have warned of different, big changes coming soon, all as a way to actually encourage you to embrace the intent of their changes, and envelope the greater simplification of LinkedIn’s graphic presentation on your screen to do more with less.

Perhaps they will listen to the masses, who lament that LinkedIn changes so often in so many minor ways that they refuse to try to keep up. Instead, they take the effortless way out and do not absorb the changes, thus penalizing themselves by looking stale. Boring.

Who is attracted to stale and boring, after all?

I hope not you. Changes to UX on LinkedIn is rolled out over time, often staring in Europe and creeping westward over the Atlantic.

Like the warning, “if you see something, say something, let us know if you notice some dramatic changes, and I will endeavor to assess the pros and cons of the changes you share. Feel free to screen capture and message me on LinkedIn or email the graphic to me at marchalpert@connect2collaborate.com.
