We had coyotes in my front yard not too long ago at daybreak. Momma and her cubs.
Now I go out to my garden early in the morning more guardedly. With my eyes peeled for movement.
Often it is wild turkeys, the irrepressible white-tailed deer, or an occasional red fox. But I am alert. I do not relish and encounter nor wish to test it.
Similarly, I dial in to subtle noises, screeches, mating calls, footsteps behind me on LinkedIn. No, I am not paranoid, but I tune into unexpected noise that distracts me from what I am here to do. I try to be always listening and discussing.
Not just hearing but listening.
The noises change with the season, the phase of the moon, time of day. I hear and focus on the ones that evoke the most meaningful evaluation. For yours.
I endeavor to provide lasting value, not for me but for you. It provides me (and you) topics for comments and teachings here.
I will continue to do so until I run out of flora and fauna at my wide-eyed (or all too often cross-eyed?) wonder on LinkedIn.
