Do you neglect your clients’ calls and messages? I am sure you do not.
Do you neglect prospects’ approaches to engage and find common areas to partner? You’d better not.
Do you neglect to update your LinkedIn profile? You do? Ruh-roh.
Unfortunately, I see this a lot more than I like:
- Landline phone numbers at previous employers.
- No cell phone number for voice mail or text access.
- The last recommendations are years-old.
- Old-fashioned looking profiles with pipes in the headlines, key words listed in About, partial sentences throughout (like you copy-pasted your resume, which you did, admit it)
- Little or no graphics to complement up blocks of copy.
- No Featured section.
- No creator mode opened or co-opted to make you stand out.
I can go on and on.
Neglecting your brand means no one stays long enough to make a decision, other than to depart your profile.
Like the roadrunner, you are eating dust. Meep meep.
