I get this question a lot. No one want to be over the top.

A blowhard, a loudmouth, there are so many names for this because it is so common and mostly annoying.

But there are times when you have to set forth what you stand for, and the use of LinkedIn posts is a good place.

I am thinking of one colleague fighting a particular battle because of words used against her She was challenged in another’s ignorance. So she is fighting with well-chosen words and in places to be quoted. No surprise, knowing her. One place is LinkedIn. She has the backing of her colleagues and connections.

Is she being loud? No, she is being forceful and direct, and uses good business sense in all she expresses. She is using LinkedIn for one of its best purposes, expressing the current state of affairs in business.

If you see something that’s not right, say something. Don’t let it slide by. Choose the upper hand (From Michelle Obama, “when they go low we go high” right?) but choose to play your hand in a swift and forceful manner to offset the wrong.

Post.
