I admit, I love meeting people in real life, especially if we have spent quality time understanding each other’s strengths and gifts to offer to the world.

For some, as mentioned here before, it’s a monthly meeting, others every other week, and in some rare and particular cases, weekly.

We set up the time ahead and arrive ready for trading mental agility and opening another ensuing part of ourselves to the other.

It is, well, sublime.

But they live hundreds or thousands of miles away!

But I feel as close as they lived in my town. That includes picking up the phone or asking for an impromptu Zoom chat to resolve something they alone can advise, and we move along with our day.

Yet I may never meet them, ever, and that in itself saddens me.

Because there is simply no substitute for meeting in real life, hugging, and spending quality time but it’s not always possible. Fear of getting sick, the investment of the time to get there, concerns about safety all play a role.

But I intend to meet them and hope they will come to New York at some point soon so we can show them around our favorite parts of that big city. Or I will come to them or near them, someday soon, but I will not stress over it.

I know we are aligned.

Our relationship will just get stronger until we meet. Because we invest in each other and in ourselves as citizens of the world, and it takes a village of these superb minds and personalities to make that citizenry so appreciated. And I feel at ease e-introducing them to other beautiful people. It’s worthwhile sharing the riches!

Yup, I am gushing. No LinkedIn twist, just joy in my eyes.
