This time it’s me asking myself. Yes, it happens.
I participate in a networking group that meets monthly. We are split into breakout rooms (renamed by one of our wordsmith members as “breakthrough” rooms).
Last time I was assigned to a room and met “K.” Nice chat in the entire 7 minutes we had together 1:1. This month we re-met in a breakthrough room, another 7-minute chat, with someone else as a third participant so K’s and my 1:1 time was truncated.
So I shot her a LinkedIn message:
K, great seeing you yesterday on zoom. Lucky to be in the same breakthrough room (better name than “breakout”).
Marc
She replied almost instantly:
Agreed Marc. Love break through. And always a pleasure to connect with you.
Nice to read. Warm feeling. Connection made, until the next time when we serendipitously resume the connectivity where we left off.
For now, all is in order in the microcosm of my networking world.
