Not only about New York, New York, but in LinkedIn Land, to over 1 billion people in every country, time zone, longitude and latitude. 24x7x366.
Frank Sinatra sang it best. I am a-mused by his theme song for this blogpost.
I really think LinkedIn should start pre-advising us of global changes that they are making.
Radical? Not really.
It’s not out of character, at least it used to be that a regular post prenotified us of changes in the LinkedIn blog. But if you open that link now, they only had 1 entry, about AI, in all of 2023, a crazy year of over 160 changes to the platform alone! So that means not one of those 160 were ever really publicized.
Word of mouth among 1 billion people is a mighty game of telephone tag. No wonder so many people are utterly confused how to use LinkedIn!
They are off to the races already this year with over 38 changes so far in 2024.
Maybe an intern should be tasked with updating us. Or get their AI avatars or centaurs or other make-believe entities to tell us what to expect.
I wonder: what else do they have up their sleeve?
Right through the very heart of it, I want to be a part of it. From the very start of it. But you have to tell me where all the changes are and why, how to use them. Please?

What Linkedin (aka Microsoft) does not care about is US…..but especially the unemployed because their changes are geared towards a pay to play model and if you want in, great, but if not, you are going to be locked out!
