“How did you find me?” I asked the prospect who dropped in from the clear blue as an InMail to me a couple of weeks ago.

I always wonder that…a podcast? a course? a blogpost? a comment? Nope. Read on.

Backstory: We messaged a few times, to share a couple of my training concepts in a couple of qualifying questions. I sent my animated 90 second outline to reinforce how I train in groups (thumbnail above and link to it here).

We set up a zoom chat late last week.

I used the initial moments as my opportunity to find out whom to thank for the referral.

No one, but it was my time to thank myself for using the hashtag and keyword clauses that drew her to my profile, allowed me to express myself there and reinforce in my message and finally in my zoom chat.

I have always coached and trained that you have to be savvy in your use of keywords. That’s how they found me in the LinkedIn search.

They liked what I put up on LinkedIn enough to fall in “like” with me.

Then they contacted me and the speed dating of interactive massaging made them fall more in “love” with me. The zoom chat sealed it.

All consistent, my words in all my media, she said. All what her company needs.

Now I have a signed contract on my desk. I love my job. You can too (to both).
