It astonishes me how lazily inept some people are in selling to me.
Like the marketing genius who contacted me from Pakistan the other day via an InMail, to ask me if I needed help with rewriting my LinkedIn profile, to make it more visible.
How, I wondered, did he get my name, why did he think I would appreciate his offer to rework my profile?
And the piece de resistance, he wanted to scrape data from LinkedIn to similarly offer my services to the thousands of others he could get me in front of and explode my business potential. Because his approach really works!
Explode indeed, like put me in LinkedIn jail for scraping.
I did what I needed to do, report the abuse as spam and blocked him.
Did you get that piece of brilliant (sarcasm) marketing too?
Report. Block.
And then I just received this (cue sound of me shaking my head in disbelief)!

Report. Block. Again.
LinkedIn is a self-policing community. Let’s keep it safe, OK?
