This has been a challenging year. Other coaches and entrepreneurs have stated that as well. Perhaps that includes you.

As we enter November, we seem to turn inward:

  1. Thankful for our bounty and family on American Thanksgiving the 23rd (the Canadians already had theirs), but let’s be grateful and appreciative every day of the year.
  2. We observe the cycle of the leaves on the trees changing colors, fade and fall off, and have you ever appreciated the artistry of nature in bare tree limbs and branches? It’s a favorite hobby of mine, hopefully yours too.
  3. We budget for the coming year, perhaps cutting back, perhaps reorienting our spending to be more economical to achieve the same effects, or we plan to spend more as a wager to go home with a richer jackpot.
  4. Some dust off the family heirloom ornaments to decorate their house for their celebrations of the end of their year, religious or not, but an evolution as the days of the current year roll into the early ones of the next one. It’s a measurable aspect of the cycle of time and circle of life (cue “Lion King” overture).
  5. And finally in my musings, we anticipate for 2 months the crystal ball on the pole in Times Square to drop and open an ever more optimistic view of the coming days. (Or whatever you watch in your city or country to know we ended one and roll into another year.)

So, reader, please reflect retroactively back in this year so far. What were the highlights of your first 10 months of 2023? Would you tell us what you accomplished, or learned from any misstep or lack of accomplishment, with optimism for the next months? We can learn from you and you from us. Who’s going to start the conversation now?
