Yes, it’s Halloween. A few LinkedIn aphorisms for the holiday:
- Embrace your inner demons. Rise above them. Give yourself permission to talk about your “why.”
- Simmer and stir your career memories cauldron, to bring the best of your tasty themes into a ragout of rich brothy experience (please go easy on the eye of newt).
- Carefully consider and don your costume in a way that makes you look approachable in your post-pandemic headshot (you did take a new one recently, right?).
- Smile, like a happy jack o’lantern, in all you say and show. Make it fun.
- If you spook readers of your profile, they will flee, and you will never recoup the treats that they could have brought you in new business.
- Tricks, scares, and falsehoods will eventually return to haunt you, so leave the most straightforward impressions of who you are and why you do what you do in your profile.
- Don’t ghost someone saying you will do something and not do it when, how, or why you said you would. Would you like if someone did that to you?
- Finally, operate under a bright spotlight to showcase your skills and strengths, never under cover of dusk or worse, starless darkness.
Have a great last day of the month.
