Pipes.
Yes, you may recall, the key to the left of the “enter” key on your keyboard, such that when you shift and press that key, you get one of these:

A vertical line.
We used to (note: “used to”) use it on LinkedIn Headlines to save valuable spaces and achieve the old 120-character limit to divide our thoughts and keywords.
Then LinkedIn gave us 100 more characters (including spaces) to tell in the Headline in a longer short breath why we are worth reading further.
And the style became, and it’s still the current style I may add, is to delete the pipes, and use natural human language. You have lots of space in 220 chars to tell the casual reader that you are worthy of further consideration.
So I just had to “pipe in” with this because I am still seeing them, and the pipes make you look stuck in a time warp.
There, I said it.
