As we went around the “Hollywood Squares” (or is it the “Brady Bunch” screen grid?) on the zoom networking call last week, when it came to one of the participants, his exuberance and joy were electrifying to the others.
I watched the faces, with smiles, eyes paying intense attention to his brief intro: in sum,
- he grabbed,
- no he captured,
- no he earned their attention.
I even saw a few with their video off click it on to see him speak.
Does it get any better than that? Isn’t that what you want?
So it is on your LinkedIn profile, and that’s exactly the point I made about his delivery when it was my turn to speak.
Take a look at your profile, I suggested, and if you yawn reading about you, you have some work ahead. But if you invest in your profile, others who read it and pay rapt attention from the words you choose, the graphics that illustrate your point, the way you convey your persona and the rich experience you bring to the proverbial table. today and into the future-all that-yes, you will win the hearts and minds of readers.
Enough as I say, to make them “fall in like with you,” enough to contact and then engage with you about their needs.
The “falling in love part” enough to hire you? That’s up to you.
Woo well and win.
With your LinkedIn profile.
