He is looking for a new job. It’s a tough full time job in itself.
But he complains he is not getting traction.
So I looked at his contact info. Uh oh.
He never enabled the public to see his email address on LinkedIn. No emailing possible.
Nor his cellphone number. No texting possible.
Recruiters or hiring managers have hit a brick wall. No communication to him. Has he lost opportunities? You decide.
Should he add his cellphone number and email address for anyone (1st, 2nd, or 3rd level connections) to have access?
His decision. I think it’s a no-brainer yes!
He needed to follow these instructions from the Help Center.

Excellent point, Marc. If you’re a professional open to networking, then it behooves you to leave your contact info- — specifically, a professional one rather than your personal email, if possible — and your mobile phone rather than your house phone (if you still have one of those)! And reminder, whatever number you list should lead to a voicemail box with your voice and something that sounds inviting and professional on the other end! Not a robot voice stating your number or a message that your mailbox is full!
