Search for yourself on LinkedIn, by name.
Are there duplicate profiles out there, one (or more) from a long time ago, that you started, abandoned, and left to petrify?
You can take control over this. You must.
How you do that just depends on whether or not you know the LinkedIn ID and/or password to get back into the duplicate profiles.
Go to this Help Center entry and follow the instructions.
The next time someone refers you to a prospect and they look you up on LinkedIn, and they cannot find your recent. proper, most built-out profile, they will leave you in the dust. They get bored and they leave. They never return.
You do not want that, right? So take my advice.
Do not procrastinate.

I just checked and I have a listing as “Steve Isaacson” and one as “Steven Isaacson”. I checked “Help” section and still cannot figure out how to eliminate “Steve”. Thanks for bringing this to everyone’s attention.
