Wedding anniversary 39 years

In business for myself 19 years

Using LinkedIn 16 years

Teaching LinkedIn 10 years

Blogging here regularly 7 years (1636 posts and counting)

Having the time of my life doing all of the above, every day

Counting years is what we do to acknowledge bulk time passing. We use it to quantify a pursuit of regular as well as noteworthy efforts, career and personal. It gives us a new perspective of time passing and time to come.

Luckily we have tools to help us mark these anniversaries and milestones. And congratulate others.

Do you applaud connections for their work anniversaries? Perhaps you do, but with a “like” (here I go again).

Be a little bit better than that: comment, and tell them something like: “they are lucky to have you” or “what a ride, wishing you many more” or “I remember when you started there. How the time passes, all the best” just something more than “like.”

They spend the time over the years, So can you in a few seconds’ keying of applause in a few words.
