You may see this in your email (but it will not be in your LinkedIn messages as well), you panic a bit. You lose the concentration you need to realize that this came from LinkedIn@linked.com, not from @linkedin.com.

Unfortunately this spoofing activity comes in all kinds.
Often you can hover over links to see the real email address behind the spoof.
It is always easy enough to go direct to your linked through bookmark or the link on your own webpage.
If LinkedIn has any need to message you it’d be done via notifications.
