My colleague, frequent commentator on my LinkedIn Posts and friend Paul Konigstein published a long form Post last Friday that I want my nonprofiteer readers (and those who support nonprofits) to be aware of.

He is holding another free webinar entitled “Financial Roles for Non-Financial Staff.” I strongly recommend it to you. His are always most worthwhile!

I especially like his premise: everyone in organization should be towing the finance rope from the same side.

I would add to this: beyond finance, the entire organization should tow from the same side in all endeavors, including LinkedIn branding.

chainIn all my nonprofit talks on LinkedIn, I urge the attendees to review the LinkedIn profiles of everyone in the organization and organize the messages they send individually and collectively to “tow the same line” as the organization and its mission.

Said another way: a loose link in the chain renders the chain useless.

So it is with the all departments all working together.

And the same can be said about LinkedIn, the outward organized branding face of the organization, to its volunteers, potential board members, corporate sponsors, new hires and perhaps most importantly, donors.

Think about this carefully please.
