You would never use your resume for this, of course!

Well, there’s nothing better to tell “why you” (beyond the brilliant proposal you just made) than your LinkedIn profile, right?

So consider using it in this new way!

I find that screen printing my LinkedIn profile tends to show other company ads and material I can’t control or obscure. Here’s how to get past that.

To print a PDF version of your LinkedIn profile, follow these steps:

  1. Click Profile at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Move your cursor over the downward pointing arrow next to the “View profile as” button.
  3. Select “Save to PDF.”
  4. The PDF file will be downloaded and saved to the default download location on your computer.
  5. Once you open the file, you can either print it on paper or print it to a file.

It’s not perfect, however. It lacks your rich graphics, links, and pictures. The spacing is a bit jumbled in some sections. Perhaps your Adobe service allows you to edit the spacing and re-save it.

The very last line of the PDF contains a link to your LinkedIn profile. That helps.

The reader will now get a fuller story about your skills, background and capabilities that complement your proposal.

That may just tip you into the finalists or THE winner category…
