You have a brand to project and defend. Everyday, all the time.
Yes, that’s right. People judge you from the moment you open your mouth or at the very beginning of the email they receive from you:
- your grammar
- vocabulary
- image
- confidence
- how you dress, etc.
These are all clues as to whether they want to consider you as a peer, a business partner or a referral.
You can’t please everyone, certainly. But you must please yourself.
So why is your LinkedIn profile a not-so-accurate impression of you and your brand?
My admonishment: get off the fence now. Not later, but now. Start making some changes to your profile to better show WHY YOU.
And before you start making those changes, don’t forget to uncheck the box; more info on that here.
