This is part 3 of 15, expanding on my earlier plog.
Check that your contact details make it easy to get in touch with you, in all the various communication media. Be sure that all links to your Twitter, Facebook, about.me, email, blog and website are working.
Everyone communicates in different ways. While we all have to be adept in most, if not all, of the above-mentioned media, each person always prefers one or two of them.
So take a few seconds to double-check your links in the contact detail section of your profile.
Perhaps this will spur you to make a change to LinkedIn contact details:
- Have a few websites? You can list 3. Name them specifically by choosing “other” in the drop down so you can describe the website in words, then add the URL. Instructions here.
- Shorten your LinkedIn profile URL. Instructions here.
Speak to the audience in the right media, but certainly be sure they can contact you too.
