We are changing, always.
Our language usage, as in what’s acceptable is one example. Like the word “suck” which I see on LinkedIn quite often. Even on a recent Wall Street Journal headline!
Or how we abbreviate, some of which, IMHO, makes me LMAO a lot. TYVM for the entertainment factor.
Also, we tend to speak in bullet points, with bullet points, electronic business communication, which I think has its place on slides, but not on your LinkedIn profile.
And we are apt to emoji-fy our agreements and approvals, without telling what exactly we agree about or why this is noteworthy, which I think is very not cool.
Diced words and chopped phrases seem so Reader’s Digest, and we don’t see much of them anymore.
You may not agree with me. That’s OK. Tell me why.
In doing so, use your art of persuasion, and dare to be complete.
In fact, in all that you do.
