It’s amazing what you can learn on LinkedIn from people you don’t know, but others know.
A post last week about an interview Matthew McConaughey by Billy on Twitter, picked up by Steven on LinkedIn, “liked” by Jennifer whom I am connected to on LInkedIn so it appeared on my feed.
But a quote struck me in that post:
“I was making B’s in 5 things,” McConaughey said. “I want to make A’s in 3 things.”
We multipreneurs need to excel in a few things that overarch our various business interests. Do them really well and you will be recalled.
Mine: A+ client service (if I may say so). Unimaginable in what I see rising to today’s D- standard.
I know I cannot be A+ in all the aspects of my business but I work on the things that are important to my clients. Those fewer things they rely on me for, and I deliver. I am not Amazon offering anything and everything, after all.
I do get comments about the effort I go to.
That I care to follow up. That I offer a few alternatives when the client thinks all is lost. That I help and do so quickly, in the moment. It’s my commitment, now after 23 years on my own just like it was on Day One..
What few important things do you receive ratings of A or better in your business(es)?
