I coach clients and ask them to share their screen, with LinkedIn open, so we can both see the same things.
But what do I see all too often?
How tardy (remember that word?) they are in replying to
- connection requests (caveat connector),
- messages (be prompt and certain that you are on top of these opportunities)
- notifications (consider them news flashes, so keep up with your newsworthy colleagues)
I cannot tell you how often I see red number bubbles at the top of their screen at Messages and Notifications, sometimes the 3-digit size.
Why do you think LinkedIn makes them red? They need attention, as in servicing them!
Open, act on, and clear out these baskets. Keep on top of this chore. Miss nothing. Unturn every stone. Be active and appreciative.
