We do not expect you to be super-human on LinkedIn. Not mythical or epic, unless you really are. And if you are, you better be convincing.
Or you should be as close to super-human, mythic or epic as you can, within your own truth.
We expect to read your words with your own seasoning, sometimes spicy, sometimes piquant, sometimes sweet, but always tastefully true.
And if you need a second opinion on what it “tastes” like to work with you, after your telling why you are whom you say you are, get a recommendation from a third party to reinforce your truth, one more step, with these sort of impressions:
‘that {name}, they say they are {good at attribute…/skilled in…} and why they are so good at it, but let me tell you a time I witnessed exactly how good they are, in actions, as I tell you a story and why I am recommending them.”
Bonus points awarded for the reader already knowing the writer of the recommendation.
More bonus points if the recommendation is as high quality as the profile they are accentuating.
Speak your truth on your profile to share your why. Gain max bonus points on top of your truth to rise to the top of the competitive landscape.
Sound easy? It is when you ask for a recommendation that adds even more light to a specific skill that a prospective client is seeking.
Now you are acing LinkedIn as more than a resume on electrons, more than factoids in bullet points.
Your “why” gets ratcheted up by their “how well” you do you say you do your “why.”
