She lives in the Netherlands. He lives in Canada. He lives in Central America. Another is a new immigrant to this country from North Africa. She is an expat in the Southern USA.
They are my friends. My colleagues.
We may never meet face-to-face.
But we meet weekly by zoom.
We connected at a high level. Some routinely comment on my posts. I repay the favor. We discuss, debate, introduce current ideas, suggest books and articles. Actively.
Others are there JIC I ever need to tap into their brain trust, from which I get brains in exchange for my trust. They can do the same to me, always, and they do. We initially engaged via LinkedIn and proceeded beyond.
Well beyond.
It’s a fast-spinning planet full of exciting, motivated people. We open our minds to the right caliber of colleagues to enrich each other, day-in-day-out.
This is a blessing, a word I do not use often.
