I love my garden. I meet gardeners from all over the world in my various chat groups.
I specialize exclusively in bright colorful annual flowers, with a few perennials mixed in for increasing enjoyment year after year. Seeds went into small growing pots 2 weeks ago and I am happy with the seedlings that are pushing their way towards the sun (OK, grow light until it’s warm enough to put them out all day and night, around the end of May).
My second May pun is maypop.
Not that child’s game of sitting in a circle, getting bopped on the head and chasing the leader.
Maypop as in Passiflora incarnata, the botanical name of passion flower.
And I have a passion for that flower. It’s a vine, so I am encouraging it to climb a trellis to produce its gorgeous flower, as you can see in my photo from last year.
