That’s quite a disappointing comment for me to receive. I can take it.
Luckily I hear it infrequently.
But I heard it the other day.
To that person: I remind you that you hired me to help you. You are changing as you pivot within your career. The time you spent emailing me the above could have easily been spent solving the problem.
Now you are having someone else do that simple fast work for you. You gave them your ID and password. Not a safe move. Even if you do know them.

Ask the lawyer who called me in a panic because his long-time secretary had the LinkedIn IDs and PWs and suddenly did not come to work one day. His LinkedIn personal and company profiles disappeared because she cancelled them, out of revenge. Or the fired employee who re-created the businessperson’s LinkedIn profile to embarrass her. A wildfire ensued.
Delay adding up…
Time and opportunity waits for no one. Protect your LinkedIn assets 24x7x366 because your reputation requires it. A poor profile on LinkedIn for any amount of time can stymie your chances for referral or getting hired. Or make you look bad, or even Houdini cannot make it re-appear.
But if you are not in a hurry, then I am not. You hired me to help you invest in yourself. Invest as you wish. I invest in my clients but they need to be believers. Ask any of them who recommended me.
