Get those gears grinding!

gears1

You are constantly thinking how you can improve your lot in your professional life. It could be that you need to branch out to a new product or service, and all the planning and execution that entails. Or it may be the bold step of seeking a new job. Perhaps it is total disruption by going out on your own, as a consultant.

If it is becoming a consultant, and just in case you thought you are too old or experienced to do this, you should know it is a humbling experience. Your will think about things you never had to consider before, like all the administrative aspects of running your own business. Those gears will grind. Lubricate them with as much free (and paid personal coaching) advice as you can get.

Network your butt off!

Be openminded to new ideas and old skillsets that need dusting off.

If this is not for you, perhaps you know someone to share it with. Being a collaborative colleague is a large part of consulting, so consider spreading it around to the right people, please.

You can do this via LinkedIn of course…
