Back to Basics: why is #LinkedIn so hard to maneuver?

linkedin_treasure map

Microsoft, now three years into its ownership of LinkedIn, has made some definite changes in its investment, no doubt about it. Yet I hear from many users of LinkedIn that it’s counter-intuitive in its user experience.

Well, so are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the rest of its empire.

So it comes as little surprise that the tech designers at LinkedIn, with collaboration for the parent company have not made changes to improve the functionality and location of the components of your LinkedIn experience.

I won’t preach about what I don’t like nor lay praise for what I do. That’s not going to change anything for any of us. I am all about ease of use and smart layout, on the mobile and the desktop versions of LinkedIn.

I still don’t understand why they cannot look and work exactly alike, no matter which type of device you are using LinkedIn…

What I will offer is that you (and I) refer to the body of knowledge on LinkedIn, found in the “Me” icon at the top of any LinkedIn page to get really good instructions and direction to accomplish whatever function is on your mind or found where you would expect it.

Help is a few clicks away.

At least that’s easy to get, you just have to know where (but why under “Me”?) to find it….
