I spoke yesterday about an exercise I put some colleagues through: critiquing a profile I showed them.
Since I was sharing my screen, they could not have done this: click the website link that was shown to get more information on his business.
When I did that for the group, we discovered the link was broken.
Uh-oh.
And when I tried to email him, the email address on his (new) website was an old one he rarely checks. Days later he replied, tail-between-his-legs, apologizing for the time lapse.
Uh-oh again.
Folks, check every link you put on LinkedIn. We hire practitioners who are detail-oriented, so don’t miss a chance to reinforce your image of being attentive to the finer points as well as your expertise in the field.
1 uh-oh is embarrassing. 2 are deadly.
