Pivot. I make my LinkedIn profile read as if I am speaking to you, in my own way of expressing myself. I speak to the audience, to attract sincere interest in what I do. I express why I do what I do, my mantra.
Then not all in my own words, but in the excerpts from unsolicited comments I have received, which I admit can sometimes tell more about my “why” than I can myself.
So be warm, be resonant, and be yourself on your profile. Find your voice.
Even if you think you are pretty “cool” in your own mind, are you equally “warm to the touch” to the casual reader? Or a “hot” prospect to be tapped?
