A public service announcement
Once again, I reiterate my warning to my readers to be careful whom you connect to on LinkedIn, and what you open from LinkedIn.
The attached NY Times article speaks about “spear-phishing” (hacking coming from attachments opened from friends’ social media posts). https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/28/technology/hackers-hide-cyberattacks-in-social-media-posts.html?_r=0
Knowing your connections is by no means foolproof to prevent this, but may be one defense consideration.
Besides why connect to someone you don’t know (and this is only one reason-I have many more!)?
Caveat connector.
