Even after the sweeping changes to our LinkedIn desktop user interface, the article’s still pretty sturdy with suggestions to improve your presence and brand.

I will add one more, an idea further explained in my upcoming (May 2017) book titled LinkedIn Marketing Techniques for Law and Professional Practices:

Review the top 2 lines of your (formerly called Summary; now called Intro) that appears on your profile page and amend it to end the last line with a call to action. Encourage the reader to open the rest of your Intro and read it in its entirety.

For instance, mine says “Read how” at the end, in 232 characters:

Do this too. Look detail-oriented and express full sentences. First impressions count!
