Just because you read it online, doesn’t mean it’s true. Case in point: the hoax that just blew through Facebook about who owns your photos and other materials–you or Facebook.
Even the smartest folks I know fell for that.
Today they have either rescinded the posting or are licking their electronic wounds.
On LinkedIn, being a professional social media platform, I hope we never get to this type of feeding frenzy. Consider the source of what you read: the publication, the person sharing it, etc.
Read critically and carefully.
Sharing is good, once you feel comfortable letting the material reflect on you.
Reader beware.
Thought sharer be careful.
Thought leader be very vigilant.
