I offered to connect to Paul the other day. Yesterday (Labor Day) he agreed and I was notified by LinkedIn of my new connection with Paul, which I reviewed on my iPhone.
I read the rest of his profile that I could not see earlier, since we were not connected.
I noticed LinkedIn showed a new way of seeing his skills endorsements: they were combined by the company name (Exxon) of the people who endorsed him.
That is, yesterday I was able to see “3 people from Exxon endorsed Paul for his skill in Microsoft Excel.”
Today we are back to just plain “12 people endorsed Paul for his skill in Microsoft Excel.”
Sometimes LinkedIn slips in a new look or function and takes it away.
Sometimes/often it’s only on the iPhone and not on the desktop version.
This usually tells me they are testing something when we might not be normally looking.
We shall see if this arrives in the future…
