Late in May, LinkedIn slipped in a new feature called “Mentioned in the News.”
It combs news sources and will tell you when a connection is mentioned in the press.
That way you can congratulate him/her and share with your other connections.
Artificially intelligent, and thus imperfect, LinkedIn says that this service provides notifications that will also allow you to report back that it’s the wrong Marc Halpert (there are a few of us!) mentioned in the news.
Interesting, let’s see where this goes…has anyone noticed this on their Home Page?
I have not noticed this on this home page, but I have long used Newsle for this purpose. I think LinkedIn may have acquired Newsle.
